Sheltered Employment
Paid job opportunities within the workshop performing a variety of light
manufacturing duties. While earning a wage, individuals are supported in
acquiring new work skills such as: assembly, packaging, box-making,
weighing, and materials handling.
Supported Employment
Opportunities to work within local community businesses for pay are
available for those individuals for whom it is identified as being desired
and appropriate. Those participants who are in supported work options
receive full-time supports from VEA staff. Currently two individuals are
supported at a job at Olympic Manufacturing Group in Westfield, MA.
Clinical Supports
Individuals receive clinical support from Ph.D level psychologists who
work with the VEA team. The aim is to assist individuals in becoming
productive, valued workers while decreasing behaviors that impede their
abilities.
