In-House Employment
Paid job opportunities within the workshop performing a variety of light
manufacturing duties. While earning a wage, individuals are supported in
acquiring new work skills such as: assembly, packaging, box-making,
weighing, and materials handling.
Supported Employment
For those who desire, and for whom it is identified as appropriate, there
is the opportunity to work within local community businesses for pay. Once
developed and secured, these jobs are supported by full-time job coach
staff from VEA. Currently individuals are supported at
Olympic Manufacturing Group in
Westfield, MA and Samson
Manufacturing in Whately, MA
Clinical Supports
Individuals receive clinical support from a PhD level psychologist who
works with the VEA team. The goal is to assist individuals in becoming
productive, valued workers while decreasing behaviors that interfere with
their success at work.
